Lemon Tree in Flower

What a joy to have our own lemons.

Yesterday we took all the plants out of the greenhouse where they had over wintered and put  the lemons in pride of place, one in front of the torre and one near the barn. The miracle of flower and fruit simultaneously.

The Aloe plants also look well and they will all have loved the blessing of a night of heavy rain. Nothing like a good soak from above.

The water situation is worrying. Too little rain fall this winter. Cherry trees dying, Further north the rice fields cannot be planted.

So my drought resistant planting is key to this garden’s future.
